🟢 What is your biggest achievement in WHP?
My biggest achievement is the independence I have gained when carrying out design work. I now feel like I can confidently undertake a design in accordance with the design brief, and control the process through drafting and approval before issuing to clients. Seeing the solutions I have designed being implemented is a very rewarding feeling.
🔴 What is your largest learning curve in WHP?
My biggest learning curve at WHP has been how to interact and form good working relationships with clients. Every client is different and some may require different forms/levels of interaction. I have learnt how to convey engineering information to technical and non-technical clients to ensure everybody working on the project is kept up to date and has full understanding of any challenges that may arise.
🔵 What is your best memory in WHP?
My best memory at WHP is going to watch the demolition of 3 cooling towers at Ferrybridge power station. I carried out the CAT 3 check of the explosive method that was to be used, so to see the demolition go exactly as planned felt very rewarding, as well as being an incredible spectacle to watch.
