Wentworth House Partnership (WHP) has won the Consulting Firm of the Year award at the 2019 Ground Engineering Awards.
The deserving winners of the 2019 GE Awards were announced on Wednesday 5 June at the Hilton Park Lane, London.
The GE Awards brought together over 800 clients, contractors, designers and geotechnical experts for a glamorous evening of celebration, recognition and networking.
After review by a panel of over 50 expert judges, WHP won in recognition of its delivery of a number of technically demanding projects and its approach to developing staff and expanding the business. The judges also felt that the projects presented demonstrated excellent technical capability and a strong approach to collaboration and relationships.
Claire Smith, editor of Ground Engineering, commented: “The GE Awards is now in its 11th year and every year the industry has demonstrated that however tight the budget and competitive the market, it can still deliver award-winning innovation, technical expertise and value engineering – and this year is no exception.
“This year the ground engineering sector has excelled not just in terms of quality but also quantity with our highest number of entries ever from a more diverse group of businesses. I’d like to congratulate everyone on the shortlist - getting to the final stage was not an easy task this year – but we have some very worthy winners this year who should be proud of their achievement.”
Stuart Vaughan, Director of WHP, said, "We are delighted that Wentworth House Partnership won the GE Consultancy Firm of the Year Award. It is recognition of the extensive and complex geotechnical analysis and design we have carried out, and the hard work of the large team that we have developed. This demonstrates that we are an established geotechnical consultant capable of taking on almost any project, and our geotechnical capability compliments our recognised temporary works capability for which we won the BCIA award in October. These awards demonstrate recognition from our peers and underpin our development and future ambition."
