During the period 2018/19, WHP has increased its geotechnical revenue, as well as expanding its geotechnical team with recent PhD and Masters graduates in Geo/Civil studies.
WHP also expanded its regional distribution by opening a new office in Leeds in 2018.
WHP has substantially increased the scale of geotechnical projects over the past year. Working on the largest Geotechnical project it has ever undertaken as the temporary works design consultant for CVBJV at Thames Tideway Tunnels East section.
WHP team demonstrated technical excellence by mastery of site investigation, specification, interpretation and design, understanding the impact and accuratemodelling super crane settlement to enable the use of a granular crane platform, offering substantial saving against piled foundation solutions.
Particularly, WHP assessed the impact of the super crane on nearby live London Underground tunnels to obtain LUL consent.
In 2018 WHP won the BCIA award for earlier works including Bridge 19 and Main Roof Deconstruction.
